Two weeks
Hey team, here’s a bit of an update on a few of the projects going on:
Digital Edition: we’ve moved to smedia‘s new servers. There were lots of little configuration problems but smedia were able to fix them straight away. Ref OPS-600.
Gigya emails: after much back and forth over the last week we have decided to configure Gigya to use Amazon SES as an SMTP relay so that the emails come wanews.com.au instead of gigya-raas.com. Ref OPS-584.
Hostworks-to-Wowza: tomorrow afternoon I plan to update both WordPress sites (RedFM and SpiritRadio) to use the new Wowza streaming infrastructure which Ryan has prepared. The transition is of course subject to final confirmation from Dan Cole. All four apps (iOS and Android, RedFM and Spirit) will continue to use the Hostworks stream for a little while. Ref OPS-483.
Telethon: Humaan’s new http://www.telethon7.com website is nearly ready. Steve is excited. Brendan’s plan is to flick the switch tomorrow morning. I’ve been working on server configuration and redirects from various sources. Ref OPS-562.
Click2Bid: data entry and bugfixes ongoing. Go Joel and Kari! By the way, I have prepared a suitable Vagrant box which you can use for local testing. I will come by and drop it off on a pink thumbdrive shortly (the box is a rather large virtual machine image). Ref OPS-551.
PerthNow: Tanzeem is all over it. That’s why we pay him the big bucks.
Mental Health Week: Mahendra has provisioned infrastructure and so too has Johari. Back end and front end. Nailed it. See #feature-mentalhealth in Slack.
